Welcome To Hope House World

Hope is an anchor for our souls …

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

Our Mission

Hope differed makes the heart sick .. we serve to bridge the fragility that could occur in this intertwist between by shinning the torch of hope through our operations.

Our Vision

To serve and steward the LORD’s creation.

Our Story

Hope House was birthed there in Room 222

In far-away rural Alaska, Kotzebue to be precise, I arrived on a chilly weekday at the perfect winter wonderland. Three days prior, I had just landed in Boston from Abuja, Nigeria and in my many years of visiting the United States, Alaska was never on my radar. Marriage they say leads us to surprises we never planned for and this adventure was mine to embrace.

Amid the cold, lived a people with warm hearts and kind deeds. Settling in, took no time.

During my time there, I went for a walk daily and got the chance to walk on water albeit frozen .. the unforgettable Bering sea experience. Winter held the promise of darker hours stretched into the daytime, while summer had no nights and amid such sharp contradictions it’s easy to lose the glimmer of light in your soul. However, we found joy in serving at the local church, especially by assisting in the Food Bank distribution.

Serving people has always been our lifestyle as a couple. We love to host, cook for colleagues, and just spread the joy of sharing a meal while having meaningful, uplifting conversations. In a place so pristine, achieving REM was easy (summer not so much) but dreams pointing to our fulfillment as a couple was received and confirmed by the CMM prophetic teams. The concept and the name, Hope House was birthed there in Room 222; to encompass our social skills of loving and sharing meals with others while sharing stories that bind and encourage, our skills in media to enlighten, shared passion for justice for the trafficked and less privileged and a drive for better health outcomes through health and human services assistance.
On our first trip to the nearest civilization, Anchorage, we met with Alaska Medical Missions to seek partnership and we were received very warmly by a team of willing volunteers.
